Passions Of A Zealot

The following is from the first post made in this blog on August 23rd, 2007 - That post was meant give an introduction to the blog:

This will be interesting. For years now I’ve wanted to start a blog - some place where I can post my thoughts, some place where I can tell the world about what makes me tick - but - I also don’t want a blog where I post things like ”Today I had a great day, I saw my friend and we went to dinner” cause that’s boring, plus, I’m not a 15 year old writing in a diary.

This blog is going to be a combination of two things -

1. My Passions - 95%
2. My Life - 5%

And here’s why - not to many people really care about what goes on in a random person’s daily life - most of the time its not that eventful.. but my passions are another story.. its something that I think about almost 24/7, and its what I feel defines my future.. that may sound odd.. but stick with me, and I think you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

I have a few passions, all of which I think blend pretty well together (work with me on this one..) music, style, culture, business, commercial real estate, architectural/interior design, hotels, real estate development.

And currently I have two goals - one of which is a personal goal - and another is to work for Starwood Capital Group or Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Working on their hotel brands throughout the world, working with developers, franchisees, and the brand owners. I think about these two goals 24/7 because I believe in The Secret.

Anyway, back to the question - So what’s this all about??

Well, every time I see something, hear something, or learn about something having to do with my passions or goals, I intend to write about it. My circle of friends all know that I’m very passionate about hotels, construction, real estate - even non-professional things such as culture, style, etc.

So please bear with me as I get this going and figure out things to say. Not sure how often I’ll be updating this, or how long each post will be - but I think you’ll enjoy the ride, learn a little about me, and most importantly - get excited about the same things that make my heart beat faster.
